Paris Guest Apartment
s
We have renovated and decorated (we use the term loosely) 3 non-smoking Paris studios.
Direct Links to...
Location: all are in the same building, above our Paris office, in the very center of Paris (an easy walk from the Louvre, the Pompidou Center, Notre Dame Cathedral...).
Our neighborhood is the quartier Montorgueil, a beautiful pedestrian district in the 2nd arrondissement, the very centre of the city.
The neighborhood has a web site: http://www.lequartiermontorgueil.com. Two of the rotating photos you see there were taken 50 feet from our front door, and a third was taken a block away (the fourth was taken three blocks away). Here is a map of our area. And we have authored a neighborhood guide to make you feel at home quickly when you stay with us.
Metro access is the best in the city. No fewer than 9 of Paris’ 19 lines are within a 5-minute walk, including the airport lines to both Charles de Gaulle and Orly, and direct lines to 6 of Paris’ 7 railway stations.
The Etienne-Marcel station is 2 blocks from our front door, Réaumur-Sebastopol is 3 blocks away, and Châtelet-Les Halles is 4 blocks distant.
And our agency on the ground floor offers independent day trips to Versailles, independent and escorted trips to the Loire Valley, tickets for the métro or the airport trains, rail passes, cycle rental, discount cell phone (or chip) rental, luggage storage... a host of services to help you enjoy our city with minimal hassle and a short learning curve. See here for details and a complete list....
About the Apartments: we have three — Citron, Soleil, and Petit Nuage. If your dates are fixed, and you wish to see which are available to you before getting excited about one or another, availability calendars are here:
Soleil — Citron — Petit Nuage.
All have kitchens, detached shower / bath and WC. All include linens, towels, and all utilities. All offer free Wifi networks, and are equipped with iPod / iPhone stands to host, play, and recharge your iDevices.
Floor space of Citron and Soleil is approximately 21 sq. meters, Petit Nuage is smaller (16 sq. meters).
Follow the links from each apartment’s name to see details / other features concerning each one.
A “Pack and Play” style crib can be placed in Citron or Soleil, upon request, and without charge. Floor space in Petit Nuage is not sufficent to deploy it when the bed is out.
Soleil and Citron share the 1st floor of the building (European system, so one flight up). They are the only apartments on the landing, and together occupy the entire floor of the building: they are thus suitable as a pair for a family. Petit Nuage is on the 3rd floor, and the staircase is one best tackled with grappling hooks. Not ideal for large amounts of luggage, or heart conditions. There is no lift.
- Soleil is street side, with two windows (visible in the photo of our building, above) onto our semi-pedestrian street. Light and cheery, lots of storage space, mezzanine double bed, plus two fold-out single beds downstairs (but if both are deployed, there’s not much floor space — the place is a tight fit for 4).

- Citron is on the courtyard side. Named for a frieze of tile work in the kitchen area. Quiet and peaceful, high-ceilings (indeed, the main living space is almost a cube), equipped with a double bed and an additional fold-out futon double (though the floorspace means that this is not a realistic choice for 4 people unless they are very intimate). There is also a little courtyard terrace on which you can install the folding table for a glass of summer rosé. The courtyard is also quiet: it serves as a passage to a building on the rear, and few other apartments’ living spaces open onto it. Nor are any trash cans, vehicles, or other potential sources of noise stored in it. The apartment is decorated with original paintings by Chantal Thernisien.

- Petit Nuage is also on the courtyard side. Light and cheery, good closet space, and an overall cozy feel. The bed is a fold-out sofa double, which deploys easily and is exceptionally comfortable... for a sofa bed. Maximum occupancy for Petit Nuage is 2, and they should really like each other.

Daily, weekly and monthly rentals are available. Off-peak discounts are available at some times of year.
There is generally a 3-night minimum stay.
2-night stays are possible in any of three circumstances:
- The selected apartment is only open for two nights between two other bookings.
- The booking is made within 30 days of the rental start date, and the rental abuts another period of occupancy either before or after.
- The booking is made within 7 days of the rental start date.
So why not come and spend a week in the City of Lights? You can probably sublet your own place for what you'll pay for ours.

Dates refer to “nights of.” For instance if October 25th is a “normal” date, the normal price applies for guests staying that night.
Reductions (please round to the nearest whole € to get your final price):
- “Last-minute” rates, for rentals subscribed within 2 weeks of the rental start date, and spanning at least 3 nights: 20 - 25% less than the usual daily and weekly rates.
Exact “last-minute” prices are quoted in the table, above.
- Rentals of exactly 6 nights are priced at the “Week or More” rate, which is more economical than 6 times the daily rate. In addition...
...provided check-out does not take place on a Sunday or a legal French holiday, one of these further discounts applies:
- Reduction of 15€ on either the “Normal” or the “Off-Peak” (non-last-minute) rates.
- Reduction of 10€ on any “Last-Minute” rate.
If check-out takes place on a Sunday or a legal French holiday, no reduction to the “Week or More” rate applies.
- *Rentals of 15 or more nights: a 10% discount on the “Week or More” rate applies for all nights after the 14th.
The “Week or More” rate, applies to the first 14 nights of the rental.
- Rentals of under 4 weeks, but which are most advantageously calculated at the “4-Weeks or More” rate, benefit from a 15€ rebate per night of the 28 not reserved.
Example: your rental spans 26 nights. Paying for 28 nights at the “4 Weeks or More” rate is more economical than applying the “Week or More” rate to a 26-night rental. You would thus calculate your rental cost using the “4 Weeks or More” rate. Since you only reserve 26 of the 28 nights, you receive a 15€ rebate for each unused night. The cost of your rental would thus be the “4 Weeks or More” rate for it’s minimum, 4-week term, less 30€.
Other Notes:
- A 3-night minimum stay is generally required. Exceptions are detailed above.
- Rentals at the “Week or More” or the “4 Weeks or More” rates, and which include nights in both “normal” and “off-peak” periods, are calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Example: a week-long rental with 2 days in a “normal” period and 5 days in an “off-peak” period will cost 2/7ths of the “normal” weekly rate plus 5/7ths of the “off-peak” weekly rate.
- An additional off-hour check-in charge applies to evening and some weekend arrivals.
For details, please see “How to Book, Terms and Conditions” page.
- “Normal” and “off-peak” periods are subject to change with occupancy.
Explanation: when one of the two studios is booked, the other may thereafter be offered at normal rates for the dates in question. Conversely, if both are still open at the approach of a “normal” period, they may then be offered at the “off-peak” rate. The price in effect at the time of your booking is that which will apply to your stay.
